The footbridge has now been open for a few weeks. Highways England has planted a line of Cypress Trees between the upper bridge ramps and the boundary of the parish council land/private properties to the south. Read more about East Street Footbridge now open
You will no doubt remember that the original East Street Bridge, which spanned the M20 was demolished after it collapsed when struck by an HGV in August 2016. Read more about East Street Footbridge replacement

The Parish Council has been asking KCC to make Sandy Lane, St Vincents and Park Road ‘quiet’ routes for many years but were advised by KCC last year that this was not possible but that they would assist to make these roads safer.
