Loss of the Saturday Freighter Service

The Parish Council is disappointed that T&MBC has removed the Saturday Freighter service completely following a temporary suspension. However, alternative opportunities for the disposal of bulky items exist and data collected suggests that there is no correlation between increased fly tipping and the suspension of the service.

T&MBC has stated that the service did not promote or incentivise residents to recycle and did not support the Borough Council’s Climate Change Strategy.
