D Day 80 commemorations

D Day 80

Addington village will be commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings in the village hall from 7.30 until 9.30pm on June 6th.

If you are not going to the Normandy beaches why not join us and see what happened on that day, you will find it interesting and the numbers staggering.

There will be free cakes and savouries from the period along with hot and cold drinks served by land girls.

There will be a cinema running, a display of equipment that was used in the conflict, talks by ex-military personnel (in uniform), music, singing and lighting of the beacon at 9.15pm.

We will be accepting donations for the Royal British Legion.
